back from the west coast

Hi Friends,

I'm back! My trip to the West coast was amazing, amazing, AMAZING! It took a day or so, but I finally remembered what the non-stressed version of myself is like.

I'll share details and photos sometime later this week, right now I'm suffering from a severe case of jet lag - I spilled an entire cup of coffee in my lap this morning and am running around the office in gym clothes I found in my car.

I wish I could take a few more days off and spend them in this bedroom with my husband and a good novel.

(no) scenes from the weekend

I didn't take any photos this weekend, so instead I thought I'd share the things we came home with from our inaugural trip to the new Anthropologie store in Cranston. Finally! There's a store in RI! This could be really bad.

I wish I had taken photos of the store, the design was incredibly beautiful. The building was painted a light aqua color and had large panels of salvaged wood. "Anthropologie" was inset into the concrete and looked like letterpress. The very front of the store was tiled with gorgeous, moroccan tiles. I wanted to takes photos for you but I didn't have my camera and my phone battery was completely dead.

Here's what we came home with . . .

* one coaster (for decoration)

* hurricane vase

I am going to take a wee break from blogging, because I am feeling a little overwhelmed with general "life" stuff at the moment. See you back here Monday! Have a lovely week :)

I love lamp

Last night, I went over my friend's house. We were going to attempt to make our own cheaper versions of this beautiful wool wrap, but I had a glass of wine upon arrival and was then too tired to sew. Also, the dog chewed a hole through my fabric.
